Whistler in the Dark Theatre is an exploration. Founded by Ben Fainstein and Meg Taintor in September 2005, its inception was sparked by the desire to delve into vividly dramatic texts and to bring back young people to the theatre.
During its first four seasons, Whistler has presented eight full-length plays, and sponsored three years of FeverFest – a festival devoted providing opportunities to connect exploratory artists with adventurous audiences by creating an outlet for innovative, cutting-edge, and contemporary performance in the Greater Boston area.
Whistler received an Elliot Norton Award nomination for its production of Howard Barker's The Possibilities.
