Whistler's Wednesdays

Thank you for your interest in Whistler’s Wednesdays: A New Play Reading Series!

On six Wednesdays throughout our fifth season, we at Whistler in the Dark will host a series of New Play Readings at The Factory Theatre. Whistler in the Dark is always looking to connect with new collaborators and partners and it is our hope that this ongoing project will, in addition to celebrating the vibrant work of our local Boston playwrights, become a meeting ground for Boston’s up-and-coming directors and actors.

Between October 2009 and May 2010, we will be producing five full-length plays as well as one evening of ten-minute plays. If your script is selected as part of the series, Whistler will pair you with a director, cast and space to hear your work read aloud. Following each of the readings, Whistler will host and moderate a talkback to encourage a dialog about the work.

All work must be original, previously un-produced at a professional level or in possession of an agent.

The application process has ended and we are currently reading all the submissions.
All playwrights submitting work will be contacted by August 1st with the status of their application.
