Whistler in the Dark's new Scholars' Response talkbacks invite panels of young scholars affiliated with area universities to respond to our productions and share their knowledge in the context of a performance. We hope these talks build connections between artists, scholars, and audience members.

Our panel consist of both recent PhD and advanced doctoral candidates from a diverse range of subject areas relating to our productions.

The panel will take place shortly after the matinee performance on the 27th.   Our format breaks the symposium into three phases, first a moderated discussion between the panelists about the play, then a discussion with cast and production staff members (those who care to join us), and then opening up to the audience for further discussion.

Panellists:

Ryan Hartigan (Brown University)
Sophie Klein (Boston University)
Hugh Long, PhD (Assistant Professor, Athens Stage College)

We will also be joined by our translator, Professor Francis Blessington, PhD.

Moderator:

Meron Langsner, PhD.
